The Science of Spraypainting

What is a hydro-dip? How can you create tie-dye in seconds?

These questions and much more are answered in my one-off experience! I offer an amazing and affordable opportunity for you to make a piece of art in a special 1-hour workshop. This session is designed to get your creative juices flowing and also highlight some fun scientific facts and experiments with pressurised paints. This experience was first created for the Brighton Science Festival and completely sold out!

Street-Art Intro Class

We will create spraypaint art which you'll be proud of. Street-art is now on the UK curriculum but it's not often that you get the chance to use real Graffiti- Artists' pressurised paints.

I have an amazing array of stencils and use Eco-Friendly Health Conscious paints. This is an award winning format, developed to be inclusive and so anyone can create something of a high standard to take home with you. This session is 90 minutes long and your young person will come out with the skills needed to continue at home.

Intermediate Class.

Intermediate classes are in sets of 2 days spread over 2 weeks in order for the young person to experience what its like to take a design concept through to completion. The young person can take some homework away to create something for the second week involving upcycling unexpected materials for stencil making etc. You will create a piece of art on an A2 board to take away with you. You will experiment with layering, and using stencils and parts of stencils to get the desired effect.

This work is suitable for GCSE or similar as it will be a more thought out piece exploring an important message and meaning behind the artwork.

I can also offer Bronze or Silver Arts Award Accreditation as part of my intermediate classes.

Paint your own mural at home.

I've decided to create a truly unique experience as an intensive crash course in mural painting which involves your young people, or even the whole family! It also works as an adult experience. Its the ultimate learning experience in your own home! We could create an incredible mural together in any style you like!

As far as I know, no one else is doing this, and the reason its such a unique experience is that it transforms your home, garage or garden space and it unites the whole family in a joyful and exciting process, under my expert guidance. I devise arts classes for my charity and I have painted collaborative murals with young people for many years, I also create beautiful murals as public and private commissions. So I thought why not combine the two things into one incredible experience?
