Interventions, murals and research studies are excellent methods to explore and to raise awareness to human rights issues such a gender equality, gender based violence, the pay gap. or incarceration in dark sites in the world such as Guantanamo bay and the injustices of the penal system where prisoners human rights’ are abused and monsters are created. But theres more to art for social change than meets the eye

Please also check out my workshops so you can see some of the ways I work with people to create therapeutic art experiences. This for me is the most radical thing that I do which is support “the other” to feel empowered through the creation and process of making art. This might seem quite simple, but to encourage young people to sit still with themselves and step away from social media or their own personal angst in order to create is quite remarkable and also humbling as a process to me. So despite all the accolades, awards and publicity the simple act of helping others to discover their flow is my most satisfying
